Seekonk Planning Board Approves Four Lot Transfers, Hears 40B Neighbor Concerns

SEEKONK — June 9, 2026 — Seekonk Planning Board clears four lot transfers and takes public testimony on an incomplete 40B application at its June 9 meeting. The board unanimously endorsed three Approval Not Required lot-line adjustments — at 124 Carpenter Street, 73-77 Hope Street, and 154-202 Greenwood Avenue — and approved an amended site plan for a business at 72 Mink Street. Town Planner John Darby told the board the Miller Street 40B application cannot receive a substantive recommendation to the Zoning Board of Appeals until the applicant files a corrected waiver list, but three abutters testified: Chris Musial of 106 Miller Street cited grading and entrance-design concerns, Megan Kavanaugh-Ameral of 97 Miller Street questioned the scope of a traffic study whose sensors appeared the day before the meeting, and Preston Reynolds of 140 Fieldwood said Miller Street carries up to 1,200 vehicles daily and has seen a recent accident. Darby said the full study will be peer-reviewed and all submissions are public record. The board voted to cancel its second June meeting and all July meetings, with the next regular session set for August 11.
