Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of April 13, 2026

SEEKONK — The Zoning Board of Appeals approved a dual-use solar array on County and Miller streets. The 4-1 vote, with Shane Halajko opposed, came with conditions for 10-foot minimum screening and continued Chapter 61A farming. Blue Wave Solar's Marco Adonizio put the work area at about 18 acres, with panels covering just under four acres, and estimated a payment in lieu of taxes near $45,000 a year.

Abutters raised property values, views and fire access. The board then opened a hearing on a 36-unit 40B development at 95 Sagamore Road, where residents cited groundwater, traffic and possible Wampanoag burials, and continued it to May 4. Town Counsel Amy Questel said Seekonk stands at 1.45 percent affordable housing.
