Quad Board · Meeting of July 29, 2026
Seekonk's Quad Board weighed shared services and a school building study. The Select Board, School Committee and Finance Committee met jointly July 29 and began with the town's $78,886,244 budget. Superintendent Rebecca Kidwell said a Massachusetts School Building Authority feasibility study would cost roughly $1.75 million, with reimbursement near 50 percent and school building committee names due Aug. 31.
Members floated consolidating school and public works mowing and plowing, creating a standard for architect versus engineering estimates, and reviewing special education costs. One member called the study cost "ludicrous." The boards agreed to meet again Sept. 9, and the School Committee adjourned 5-0.
